UWC in the Mediterranean will take place from July 10- 23, 2010 with UWC France

We are pleased to announce that the UWC French Committee will, be organising another edition of our Youth Leadership Camp. This year, UWC in the Mediterranean will take place from July 10- 23, 2010 on five ships that will be sailing the high seas! Rest assured, we shall anchor in ports and creeks along the shore.
Indeed, UWC France is partnering with PARTICIPE FUTUR, an association promoting marine conservation and respect of the ocean's eco-system. Professional skippers will captain the ships; while marine conservation will be a major theme, our program will once again include interactive workshops on Communication, Cross Cultural Relationship Building, Emotional Intelligence, Team Cohesion and Leadership.
Learning will be as intense as enjoyment; swimming, diving, beach barbecues and student led activities will also be high on the agenda. For the full picture, please take a look at our website

The only constraint is that the person must be a proficient swimmer and enjoy being on the sea;
As in previous years, we will be pleased to offer UWC candidates a 50% reduction, reducing the price from 1800 to 900€. This includes all costs while at camp; travel expenses remain at the family’s or NC’s expense. This year, we shall also offer a few scholarships – on merit only and for students whose parents really cannot pay. Please make sure you screen your scholarship candidates with this in mind.
Please do get the word out soon; we can only take 30 students this year (6 per boat) and, for the purposes of logistics, need to get enrolments sorted as early as possible.
